About

Julián Luján, originally from Manizales, began his career as an illustrator in editorial projects and later entered the world of animation as a layout artist on Érase una voz: Season Two. Over six years of professional experience, he has worked in character design, styleframes, clean-up, and supervision at Dinamita Animación and Pipeline Studios. His work stands out for his participation in the short film Remember Us, which was shortlisted for the 2025 Academy Awards. Currently, his creative interests are leading him toward production, a role in which he debuted with the one-minute film '33', screened at 'Otras formas de ser en el fin del mundo' expo at the University of Caldas.

Director/Producer'33' is conceived as a historical fiction that explores the 1930s and 1940s in Colombia, presented through a visual approach developed using contemporary tradigital animation techniques. This teaser features costume designs characteristic of the country’s coffee-growing regions, worn by groups such as Los Pájaros and Los Chulavitas, as well as period-specific elements like machetes and rifles.

CH/PROP DesignerWork It Out Wombats! is a children's animated television series that premiered on February 6, 2023, on PBS Kids. The series is produced by GBH Kids and Pipeline Studios.[1] The series also has a podcast, which premiered on January 4, 2024.[2][3] Reception to the series has been mostly positive.
